Artwork & File Upload Policy

Overview

Sports Gear Swag ("Sports Gear Swag," "SGS," "we," "our," or "us") accepts customer-supplied artwork for use in producing custom apparel, promotional products, signs, printed materials, and other personalized products.

This policy explains our file requirements, customer responsibilities, artwork review process, and how submitted files are handled.

Accepted File Types

We accept a variety of common file formats, including:

  • AI (Adobe Illustrator)
  • EPS
  • PDF
  • SVG
  • PSD
  • PNG
  • JPG / JPEG
  • TIFF

Additional file formats may be accepted depending on the product or project.

Preferred Artwork

For the highest print quality, we recommend submitting:

  • Vector artwork whenever possible
  • High-resolution raster images (300 DPI or higher at final print size)
  • Artwork created at actual print size when practical
  • Fonts converted to outlines or curves
  • Linked images embedded within the file

Submitting high-quality artwork helps reduce production delays and produces the best possible finished product.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that submitted artwork:

  • Is complete and accurate
  • Is free from spelling or grammatical errors
  • Uses the correct names, numbers, and personalization
  • Meets requested specifications
  • Is suitable for printing or production
  • Has all required permissions for use

Sports Gear Swag is not responsible for errors contained in customer-supplied files.

Artwork Review

Our team may review submitted artwork to identify obvious production issues, including:

  • Low image resolution
  • Missing fonts
  • Missing linked images
  • Incorrect sizing
  • Poor print quality
  • Transparency or layer issues

This review is intended to improve production quality but should not be considered a comprehensive proofing or editing service. Customers remain responsible for verifying the accuracy of all submitted files.

Design Adjustments

Minor adjustments may be made when necessary to prepare artwork for production, including:

  • Resizing
  • Positioning
  • Bleed adjustments
  • Minor color corrections
  • File conversion
  • Background removal (when requested)

More extensive design work, artwork recreation, logo redraws, or custom graphic design services may require additional charges.

Proof Approval

When a proof is provided, production will not begin until the proof has been approved. Customers are responsible for reviewing every proof carefully, including:

  • Names
  • Numbers
  • Colors
  • Logos
  • Placement
  • Spelling
  • Grammar
  • Sizing
  • Quantities
  • Overall layout

Approval confirms that the design is ready for production.

Print Quality

The quality of the finished product depends largely on the quality of the submitted artwork. Low-resolution images, screenshots, images downloaded from websites or social media, compressed files, or blurry photographs may produce lower-quality printed results.

Sports Gear Swag cannot improve the quality of poor source artwork beyond its original limitations.

Color Matching

We make reasonable efforts to reproduce colors accurately. However, colors may vary due to:

  • Monitor settings
  • Screen calibration
  • Printing methods
  • Fabric or material type
  • Ink characteristics
  • Production processes

Exact color matching cannot be guaranteed unless specifically arranged in advance.

File Storage

Submitted artwork may be retained to:

  • Complete your order
  • Assist with customer support
  • Process warranty claims
  • Facilitate future reorders

Sports Gear Swag is not obligated to permanently store customer artwork and recommends customers retain backup copies of all submitted files.

Refusal of Artwork

Sports Gear Swag reserves the right to refuse artwork that, in our reasonable judgment:

  • Violates intellectual property rights
  • Contains unlawful content
  • Contains hate speech or discriminatory material
  • Promotes violence or illegal activity
  • Contains sexually explicit material
  • Violates applicable laws or regulations

We may also refuse artwork that cannot reasonably be reproduced using our available production methods.

Customer Ownership

Customers retain ownership of their submitted artwork. Except as necessary to fulfill your order, provide customer service, process reorders requested by you, or comply with legal obligations, Sports Gear Swag does not claim ownership of customer-created artwork.
