Creating high-quality artwork helps ensure your custom products look their best. The guidelines below will help you prepare files for printing and reduce delays during production.

1. Preferred File Types
For the best print quality, we recommend submitting vector artwork whenever possible.
Preferred file formats:
- AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- EPS
- PDF (Vector)
- SVG
We also accept:
If you're unsure whether your file is suitable, submit it and we'll review it before production.
2. Image Resolution
For printed products, we recommend artwork with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the final print size.
Low-resolution images may appear:
- Blurry
- Pixelated
- Soft
- Distorted
Screenshots, images copied from websites, or photos downloaded from social media often do not provide sufficient quality for printing.
3. Vector Artwork
Vector artwork produces the sharpest results because it can be scaled without losing quality. Whenever available, use vector files for:
- Logos
- Text
- Icons
- Line art
- Simple graphics
4. Colors
Colors displayed on computer monitors, tablets, and mobile devices may differ from printed products.
Color variations may occur due to:
- Screen settings
- Material type
- Fabric
- Printing method
- Ink
- Lighting conditions
While we strive for accurate color reproduction, exact color matches cannot always be guaranteed.
If precise color matching is important, please contact us before placing your order.
5. Fonts
Whenever possible:
- Convert fonts to outlines or curves before saving your artwork.
- Alternatively, include the font files when submitting your design.
This helps prevent unexpected font substitutions during production.
6. Transparency & Effects
Some artwork effects may not reproduce exactly as displayed on your screen. Examples include:
- Drop shadows
- Glows
- Transparency
- Gradients
- Blend modes
- Filters
Flattening these effects before submission may improve production accuracy.
7. Bleed & Safe Area
Products that extend color or graphics to the edge should include bleed.
Keep important content such as:
- Text
- Logos
- Player names
- Numbers
- QR codes
Away from the trim edge to reduce the risk of accidental trimming during production.

8. Spelling & Content
Please carefully review all submitted artwork before uploading.
Customers are responsible for verifying:
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Names
- Numbers
- Dates
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Website URLs
- QR codes
Production will be based on the approved artwork.
9. Photographs
For the best results:
- Use original, high-resolution photos.
- Avoid screenshots whenever possible.
- Do not enlarge small images significantly.
- Submit the highest-quality version available.
Higher-quality images produce better printed products.
10. Logos
For the best reproduction:
- Use original logo files whenever possible.
- Avoid low-resolution logos copied from websites.
- Vector logos provide the highest print quality.
If only a low-quality logo is available, our design team may be able to recreate it for an additional fee.
11. Artwork Proofs
Depending on the product and order, Sports Gear Swag may provide a digital proof before production.
Customers should carefully review all proofs for:
- Colors
- Placement
- Personalization
- Sizing
- Overall layout
Production begins only after required approvals have been received.
